Financial and Engineering Feasibility
After completing an audit of the building’s current energy consumption, NES then prepares an engineering analysis to determine the most suitable solution for reducing energy consumption from the grid, either by energy saving improvements or installation of an onsite power system. The analysis further determines the feasibility of incorporating the proposed improvements into the existing building conditions, and the most effective solution.
To complement the energy audit and engineering analysis, NES will prepare a comprehensive financial analysis of each suggested project improvement. The financial analysis incorporates the cost of materials, equipment, installation, operations and maintenance, fuel, financing, and existing/future utility costs to determine the annual savings and return on investment.
Once the feasibility of the project has been reviewed and approved by the customer, design drawings are prepared and put out to bid to determine final costs compared to the initial estimates.
With the determination of hard costs, a detailed monthly financial cash flow is prepared, suitable for submission to financial institutions to finalize project financing.
