George Jenkins has over 45 years of experience in the development and construction industries. His engineering experience includes both the design and construction management of residential, commercial and industrial projects, with years in the design and management of private and public works projects. Energy efficiency in building design is an important element in Mr. Jenkins’ construction experience. With the majority of his projects located in California he has implemented the state’s progressive energy-reducing building codes for hundreds of structures. And in building after building Mr. Jenkins has incorporated energy features that go beyond building code requirements, saving his clients hundreds of millions of dollars.
From senior management positions with Transamerica Development Corporation and Ticor Properties Corp, Mr. Jenkins managed development of the 8,000 acre master planned community of Diamond Bar and the construction of millions of dollars in commercial and residential development projects in California and Hawaii. In 1975 he formed a real estate development and construction business. Lead roles in his business include Developer, General Contractor and Construction Manager for the design, development and construction of specialty buildings. As a result he has constructed hundreds of commercial buildings, including restaurants, country clubs, hotels, auto dealerships, and shopping centers. For his own company and large development/construction businesses Mr. Jenkins’ specialty is in design build and design assist projects where his experience results in development of energy efficient buildings. Mr. Jenkins is a Licensed Professional Engineer (for over 40 years), and has been both a licensed Building Contractor and Engineering Contractor for 33 years. He has held licenses in California, Arizona, and Hawaii.
